Afghanistan, April 1 -- UN Special Rapporteur Richard Bennett has condemned the continued ban preventing Afghan women from entering United Nations offices, calling the policy discriminatory and unjustifiable.
Richard Bennett said Tuesday that the restriction on Afghan women's access to UN premises must be lifted immediately, warning that it represents a serious attack on women's rights and their ability to work. He said he joined 27 other UN experts in denouncing the ongoing policy.
