Afghanistan, May 1 -- UK navy reported 40 security incidents in Hormuz, as ship traffic dropped 90 percent, raising concerns over global trade and energy supply disruptions.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said it has recorded around 40 security incidents in the Strait of Hormuz since the start of the current conflict, while vessel traffic through the vital waterway has fallen by nearly 90 percent. The sharp decline highlights growing risks to maritime security.
