Afghanistan, May 31 -- The United Arab Emirates has expressed condolences to the families of victims killed in a road accident in eastern Afghanistan's Laghman Province, where a truck carrying Afghan returnees from Pakistan overturned, leaving 18 people dead and dozens injured.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates conveyed sympathy to the families of the victims and the people of Afghanistan, while wishing a speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.
The ministry also reaffirmed the UAE's support for Afghanistan during difficult humanitarian circumstances and expressed solidarity with those affected by the tragedy.
