Afghanistan, June 10 -- U.S. forces struck Iranian air defense and radar systems near the Strait of Hormuz after an Apache helicopter was downed.

The U.S. military has launched strikes against Iranian military positions near the Strait of Hormuz, targeting air defense systems, ground control stations and surveillance radar sites in response to the reported downing of an American Apache helicopter, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Wednesday.
