Afghanistan, July 25 -- US President Donald Trump said Saturday that the United States and Iran are engaged in talks aimed at ending their conflict, while insisting that Tehran must not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Speaking at the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner in Washington on Saturday, July 25, Trump said Iran wants an agreement but has not yet reached the point of being ready to sign one.

"We are talking to them. I think they are serious . the most serious we have ever seen, but that does not mean we are going to have a deal," Trump told reporters.
