Afghanistan, June 6 -- U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that his administration had achieved a "major success" in its approach toward Iran and insisted that Tehran would not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said Iran was not in a position to develop nuclear arms but did not provide details about any specific diplomatic, military or policy measures behind his assessment.
"They are not going to have a nuclear weapon. They are not in a position to have a nuclear weapon," Trump said.
The U.S. president did not elaborate on ongoing contacts with Iran or disclose any new developments related to Washington's strategy toward Tehran.
