Afghanistan, May 13 -- U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing on Wednesday for a two-day summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping, with trade disputes, Taiwan, Iran and rare earth exports expected to dominate talks between the world's two largest economies.
The visit marks Trump's first trip to China since 2017 and comes amid rising geopolitical tensions, a fragile U.S.-China trade truce and growing instability linked to the war involving Iran.
Ahead of the summit, Trump described Xi as a leader "respected by all" and said he expected "great things" from the meeting, while downplaying disagreements over Iran and global energy security.
Senior U.S. and Chinese officials also held preparatory talks in South Korea before the summit....
