Afghanistan, May 14 -- Donald Trump and Xi Jinping held talks in Beijing on Thursday following a formal welcome ceremony marking Trump's first visit to China since 2017.
The two leaders are expected to hold several meetings focused on trade tensions, Taiwan, tariffs and the ongoing conflict involving Iran, according to officials and state media reports.
Xi said the common interests shared by China and the United States outweigh their differences, while Trump praised the Chinese leader's leadership and called for expanded access to Chinese markets for American companies and products.
