Afghanistan, May 5 -- At least three people were killed and two others injured after a small aircraft crashed into a residential building in Belo Horizonte, authorities said, in one of the latest aviation incidents in Brazil.

The aircraft, carrying five people, had taken off from Pampulha Airport en route to Sao Paulo, but veered off course minutes after takeoff before striking a three-storey residential building in an urban area.

Officials said two pilots and one passenger were killed in the crash, while two other passengers were seriously injured and transferred to hospital for treatment.

Local authorities confirmed that no residents inside the building were harmed, although parts of the structure sustained damage following the impact....
