Afghanistan, June 14 -- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said Sweden has contributed nearly $3 million to support humanitarian operations in Afghanistan amid a widening funding gap for aid programmes across the country.
OCHA said on Sunday that Sweden had provided 28 million Swedish kronor ($2.99 million) to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund, a pooled funding mechanism used to support emergency relief efforts and humanitarian partners responding to crises across the country.
