Afghanistan, Aug. 31 -- Leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), including Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, are gathering in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, for the bloc's two-day annual summit amid escalating conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine.
The summit, held under the theme "Together for Sustainable Peace, Development and Prosperity," brings together heads of state from China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Belarus and the Central Asian nations.
