Afghanistan, July 1 -- At least 14 schoolchildren were killed and eight others injured after part of a school building under construction collapsed in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore, police said on Tuesday, adding that two people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police said rescue teams continued searching the rubble after reports that more children could still be trapped. Authorities identified the suspects as the owner of the educational centre and another individual linked to the construction project.
