Afghanistan, May 16 -- Vladimir Putin will travel to China for a two-day visit next week at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Chinese state media reported on Saturday.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Putin is scheduled to visit China from May 19 to 20 for talks expected to focus on the war in Ukraine, tensions around the Strait of Hormuz and developments involving Taiwan.
The Kremlin had earlier confirmed that Putin would soon travel to Beijing, although details of the agenda were not immediately released.
The visit comes only days after Donald Trump held high-level talks with Xi in Beijing, where Iran, Taiwan, artificial intelligence and maritime security were among the key issues discussed.
