Afghanistan, April 24 -- Russia delivers nearly 4,000 tons of wheat flour to Afghanistan, as aid agencies warn of worsening humanitarian conditions and urgent food needs.

Russia has delivered its first humanitarian shipment of flour and wheat to Afghanistan, marking a new contribution to emergency food assistance efforts.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said a ceremony was held in Mazar-i-Sharif to hand over the aid to the World Food Programme.

According to officials, the shipment totals 3,977 metric tons and forms part of Russia's core contribution to WFP operations in the country.
