Afghanistan, April 8 -- A report by The Times, citing U.S. and Israeli sources, said Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is hospitalised and unconscious in the city of Qom, though the claim has not been independently verified.

The report said Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public since being selected to succeed his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, eight days after the elder leader's death in the war. Reuters has separately reported that he has remained out of public view since his appointment.

According to the account, intelligence assessments reviewed by Western and Israeli-linked sources suggest he may have been wounded during recent U.S. and Israeli strikes and is now under medical care in Qom. Reuters previously reported t...
