Afghanistan, May 24 -- Ishaq Dar welcomed what he described as meaningful progress in negotiations between Iran and the United States, praising diplomatic engagement by both sides.

In a statement posted Sunday on X, Dar said the commitment of Donald Trump to diplomacy, along with what he called constructive engagement by Iranian leaders, represented an important step toward peace and a diplomatic resolution.

The Pakistani foreign minister said Islamabad remained firmly committed to supporting efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace, mutual respect and regional stability.
