Afghanistan, June 17 -- Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif says all efforts to resolve security disputes with the Taliban-led administration in Afghanistan have failed, accusing Kabul of refusing to provide written guarantees that Afghanistan territory will not be used for attacks against Pakistan.

Speaking on recent contacts between the two sides, Asif said Pakistan repeatedly sought assurances that militant groups would not operate from Afghanistan soil, but they declined to provide formal written commitments. He added that any future dialogue would require clear guarantees on counterterrorism cooperation.
