Afghanistan, Oct. 7 -- Pakistani security forces killed 18 militants in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, Pakistani state media reported Wednesday, as authorities continue operations against militant groups across the country.
Thirteen militants were killed in an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, according to security sources cited by state media. Pakistani authorities identified the militants as members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which the state refers to as "Fitna al-Khawarij."
