Afghanistan, April 13 -- Shehbaz Sharif said talks between Iran and the United States have not ended but are currently at an impasse following recent talks in Islamabad.

Speaking to CBS News, Sharif said the first round of direct talks between Tehran and Washington concluded without agreement, but diplomatic efforts remain active and ongoing.

He emphasized that Pakistan will continue its mediation role, expressing hope that both sides will return to the negotiating table in the coming days.

Ishaq Dar also said in a statement that Islamabad would keep facilitating dialogue, underscoring Pakistan's commitment to de-escalation and regional stability.
