Afghanistan, July 14 -- Pakistan has cleared 26 United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) aid containers for entry into Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing, easing the flow of humanitarian assistance as millions of Afghans continue to rely on emergency aid despite ongoing trade restrictions between the two neighboring countries.

Pakistani customs authorities cleared the 26 containers carrying food and emergency relief supplies on Monday, July 13, after completing customs procedures, including electronic scanning, according to Pakistan's Dawn newspaper.
