Afghanistan, April 24 -- Pakistan army says forces killed 22 militants in Khyber district, as security operations intensify amid rising insurgent attacks in northwest regions.
Pakistan Army said it killed 22 militants linked to Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan during an operation in the Khyber area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The army said weapons and ammunition were seized, adding that a 10-year-old child was killed in firing by militants during the clashes.
Officials described the militants as hostile elements, using terminology often employed by Islamabad to refer to TTP fighters.
