Afghanistan, March 7 -- The Pakistan Army says at least 15 militants were killed in two separate security operations in the southwestern province of Balochistan.

According to a military statement, an intelligence-based operation in the Harnai district killed 12 suspected militants and resulted in the seizure of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.

In a separate operation in the Basima area of Balochistan, security forces killed three more militants during an exchange of fire with armed fighters.

The military described the militants as part of what it called "Indian-backed insurgents," a term Pakistani authorities often use for Baloch separatist groups.
