According to a statement from the Pakistani military, Munir said security forces would not allow militants to operate from safe havens across the border.
He stressed that Pakistan remains committed to defending its security and would act against threats originating from Afghanistan territory.
The remarks come amid escalating tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban, with both sides trading accusations over cross-border violence.
Recent Pakistani airstrikes inside Afghanistan have further strained relations, with Taliban officials accusing Islamabad of targeting civilian areas.
