Afghanistan, Aug. 31 -- Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia will hold the first meeting of their Strategic Political and Defense Committee in Istanbul on Monday, marking the first high-level gathering under the Mecca Joint Defense Pact signed by the three countries earlier this month.
Pakistan's Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday that Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir will represent Islamabad at the meeting. The talks will also be attended by the foreign and defense ministers and senior military commanders of Turkiye and Saudi Arabia.
