Afghanistan, July 12 -- Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, spoke by telephone with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday to discuss rising tensions between Iran and the United States and the deteriorating security situation in the Gulf, as Islamabad renewed its call for diplomacy to prevent further escalation.

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on July 12 that Dar emphasized the need for restraint and dialogue during the conversation, arguing that diplomacy remains the most effective path for resolving disputes and preserving regional stability.
