Afghanistan, June 28 -- Pakistan's Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani discussed regional security following the recently signed Iran-US Islamabad framework agreement, as tensions in the Gulf continue despite diplomatic efforts.

According to Pakistan's Foreign Ministry, Dar and Al Zayani held a telephone conversation on Sunday in which Dar stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential for preserving regional peace and stability. The Bahraini foreign minister also confirmed plans to visit Pakistan in the near future, the ministry said.
