Afghanistan, Sept. 21 -- Oil prices fell in Asian trading on Monday, extending last week's losses as investors focused on renewed diplomatic efforts to end the conflict between the United States and Iran and on signs that disrupted crude supplies from the Gulf could gradually recover.

Brent crude futures fell 1.25% to $102.57 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude dropped 1.53% to $98.77 a barrel in early Asian trading. Both benchmarks ended the previous week lower as markets reassessed geopolitical risk premiums.
