Afghanistan, June 18 -- Switzerland has confirmed that representatives from Iran, the United States and key mediators will meet on Friday for a new round of negotiations aimed at advancing a broader agreement following the recently signed interim memorandum between Tehran and Washington.

The Swiss Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that a new round of talks involving delegations from Iran, the United States and several mediating countries, including Qatar and Pakistan, will be held in Switzerland.

In a statement, the ministry said representatives of the two countries, along with other interested parties, would participate in discussions focused on resolving remaining areas of disagreement and advancing the diplomatic process.
