Afghanistan, Aug. 16 -- Natural disasters have affected more than 92,000 people across all 34 provinces of Afghanistan since the beginning of 2026, killing at least 97 people and injuring 331 others, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
OCHA said in a report on Sunday, August 16, that nearly 10,000 homes were damaged, while more than 2,100 homes were completely destroyed. Overall, nearly 13,000 families have been affected by natural disasters since the start of the year.
