Afghanistan, June 28 -- Taliban Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi met the newly appointed deputy head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) on Sunday to discuss the delivery and management of humanitarian assistance as Afghanistan continues to face one of the world's largest aid crises.

According to the Taliban foreign ministry, Muttaqi met Bruno Lemarquis, the new UNAMA deputy head, and emphasized the Taliban administration's readiness to cooperate with the United Nations on coordinating humanitarian assistance and improving aid management across the country.
