Afghanistan, May 10 -- More than 4,000 Afghan migrants returned to Afghanistan in a single day amid continuing deportations and voluntary returns from neighboring countries, according to media reports on Sunday.

Bakhtar News Agency reported that 4,030 migrants, including 774 families, entered Afghanistan on Saturday through border crossings with Iran and Pakistan.

The latest returns come as the United Nations warns that Afghanistan is struggling to absorb the growing number of returnees arriving from neighboring countries amid an ongoing humanitarian and economic crisis.
