Afghanistan, June 14 -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that India is emerging as a global hub for innovation and technology solutions, arguing that the country is moving beyond its traditional role as a consumer of technology to become a contributor to global progress.

Speaking at the inauguration of the "Bharat Innovates" event in Nice, France, alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, Modi said innovation must be measured by its impact on people's lives rather than by commercial valuation alone.

"Innovation and inclusion are not enemies, but they complement each other. Innovation becomes great not due to its valuation but due to its human impact," Modi said.
