Afghanistan, July 23 -- Kuwait has activated its air defence systems to intercept Iranian drones, according to the country's military, as the escalating confrontation between Iran and the United States continues to raise security concerns across the Gulf.
Kuwait's General Staff said on Thursday that its air defences were responding to hostile aerial threats and that explosions heard in parts of the country were linked to interception operations. The military did not immediately provide details on the number of drones involved or report casualties from the latest incident.
