Afghanistan, March 6 -- Kabul authorities said Taliban forces killed 30 Pakistani soldiers during clashes along the disputed Durand Line border, according to a defence ministry spokesman.

Enayatullah Khwarazmi, spokesman for the Taliban defence ministry, said the clashes occurred in Shorabak district of Kandahar province, where Taliban fighters allegedly captured a Pakistani military outpost.

He said the outpost was later destroyed with explosives after Taliban forces seized control of the position during the fighting.

Khwarazmi claimed that 30 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the clashes, including 20 who were sent to reinforce the outpost.
