Afghanistan, June 21 -- Japan strengthened its hopes of reaching the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a commanding 4-0 victory over Tunisia in their second Group F match. Despite the absence of injured star Takefusa Kubo, forward Ayase Ueda delivered an outstanding performance, scoring twice and providing an assist.

Daichi Kamada and Junya Ito added the other goals as Japan dominated throughout the match and secured a crucial three points.
