Afghanistan, Aug. 9 -- Iran has set six conditions for fully reopening the Strait of Hormuz, linking the resumption of normal shipping to an end to U.S. military action, the withdrawal of American forces from the region, the lifting of sanctions and compensation for war-related damage.
Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said Saturday that Washington must change its policies toward Iran before Tehran agrees to fully reopen the strategic waterway.
