Afghanistan, June 13 -- Iran will hold a series of funeral and burial ceremonies for former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in July, according to state media, as Tehran continues negotiations with Washington over a potential agreement to end months of conflict and reopen key regional trade routes.
State media reported that farewell ceremonies for Khamenei will be held in Tehran on July 4 and 5, followed by the main funeral procession and prayers on July 6. Additional ceremonies are scheduled in Qom on July 7, while the final burial ceremony will take place in Mashhad on July 9.
