Afghanistan, July 23 -- Iran has sent a humanitarian aid convoy to Afghanistan's flood-hit Nuristan province, delivering food supplies to families affected by devastating floods, the Iranian Embassy in Kabul said Thursday.

The embassy said the convoy had arrived in Parun, the provincial capital, carrying relief supplies for families whose homes and livelihoods were damaged by the floods.

The assistance includes flour and cooking oil, which are expected to be distributed among affected families, according to the embassy.

The aid comes as communities across Nuristan continue to face the consequences of severe flooding that has killed dozens of people, left others missing and caused extensive damage to homes, businesses and infrastructure, ...
