Afghanistan, April 22 -- Iran's UN envoy says Tehran will resume talks if Washington ends its naval blockade, as both sides exchange accusations of ceasefire violations.

Amir Saeid Iravani said Iran is ready to resume negotiations with the United States if Washington lifts its naval blockade on Iranian ports.

Speaking to media, he said any new round of talks, expected to be held in Islamabad-depends on the US halting what Tehran calls violations of the current ceasefire.

Iravani said Iran has not initiated military action and remains open to a political solution, but warned it is prepared for "any scenario" if tensions escalate.
