Afghanistan, June 14 -- Iran has not yet made a final decision on signing a proposed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United States, despite officials from both countries saying a deal to end the conflict is closer than ever.

The remarks came after U.S. President Donald Trump said earlier that Washington and Tehran were expected to sign the proposed memorandum of understanding on Sunday. Trump described the agreement as a key step toward ending the conflict and preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
