Afghanistan, May 2 -- Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi has been hospitalized after severe health deterioration in prison, raising renewed international concern over her treatment and detention conditions.
The Narges Mohammadi Foundation said Narges Mohammadi has been transferred to a hospital after her health sharply deteriorated while in custody in Iran.
In a statement on Friday, the foundation said Mohammadi suffered two episodes of complete loss of consciousness and a severe cardiac crisis, describing her condition as critical and requiring urgent medical care.
