Afghanistan, June 10 -- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned the United States on Wednesday that its forces should leave the region if Washington wants them to remain safe, following a new exchange of military strikes between the two countries.

In a statement posted on X, Araghchi said the United States had chosen to test Iran's resolve despite what he described as its "failures on the battlefield." He added that Iran's armed forces would not leave any attack or threat unanswered and said the history of the Persian Gulf contains many examples of the fate of foreign powers that intervened in the region.
