Afghanistan, March 25 -- Abbas Araghchi said international law is "dead in practice" as the regional war intensifies, accusing Western countries of double standards over conflicts in Gaza, Ukraine and Iran.
In a post on X, Araghchi said Western silence over US and Israeli attacks on Iran had exposed what he described as selective respect for international law and human rights.
He also singled out Frank-Walter Steinmeier for praise after the German president said the Iran war was a breach of international law in a rare and unusually direct criticism of Washington's policy.
