Afghanistan, May 13 -- U.S. intelligence assessments show that Iran has preserved much of its missile capability despite months of conflict and airstrikes, The New York Times reported on Wednesday, citing officials familiar with the classified findings.

According to the report, intelligence gathered in early May indicated that Iran had regained operational access to most of its missile infrastructure, including 30 of 33 missile sites located along the Strait of Hormuz.

The assessments reportedly found that Iran still possesses about 70% of its pre-war missile stockpiles and mobile launch systems, underscoring Tehran's continued ability to conduct regional military operations despite sustained pressure from the United States and Israel.
