Afghanistan, March 1 -- Mohammad Mokhber, a senior Iranian official, has announced that a three-member body has been appointed to assume responsibilities during the transitional period following the death of Ali Khamenei.

According to Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA), the council consists of the president, the head of the judiciary, and one Islamic jurist from the Guardian Council. The arrangement is intended to manage leadership duties temporarily until a successor is formally selected.

Under the Constitution of Iran, the Assembly of Experts is responsible for appointing a new Supreme Leader in the event of resignation or death. The transitional mechanism is designed to ensure continuity in governance during the interim period.
