Afghanistan, July 18 -- Indian police arrested an Afghan national accused of overstaying his visa for five years and using forged identity documents, authorities said.

Police in the eastern Indian city of Kolkata have arrested an Afghan national accused of overstaying his visa for nearly five years and using forged Indian identity documents, Indian media reports.

The suspect, identified by police as Jamil Khan, was arrested by Kolkata Police's Security Control Organisation during an operation in the Bhawanipur area of south Kolkata, Indian media reported on Friday.
