Afghanistan, July 23 -- Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi group said Thursday it had attacked two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea, raising concerns about a possible second major disruption to global energy shipments as the war involving Iran threatens shipping through the region's key waterways.
Reuters reported Thursday that the Houthis identified the vessels as the Encelia and the Layla and said the attacks were part of a naval blockade they had announced against Saudi Arabia. The group has threatened to target Saudi energy and other exports passing through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
