Afghanistan, Aug. 3 -- Severe monsoon rains and flooding across parts of southern India have killed at least 14 people and forced thousands of residents to evacuate their homes, as authorities continue rescue operations and provide emergency assistance to affected communities.
The worst impact has been reported in Kerala, where at least 11 people have died in rain-related incidents and nearly 7,700 residents have been relocated to about 275 relief camps, according to local authorities.
