Afghanistan, June 2 -- Net migration from Afghanistan to Germany fell by 41% last year, according to new figures from Germany's Federal Statistical Office, reflecting a broader decline in migration to Europe's largest economy.

The data showed net migration to Germany dropped to 235,000 people in 2025, down 45% from 430,000 a year earlier. Around 1.48 million people moved to Germany during the year, while nearly 1.25 million left the country.

Net migration of Afghan nationals fell to about 19,000 people, while migration from other major refugee-producing countries, including Syria and Ukraine, also declined significantly.
