Afghanistan, July 29 -- Germany deported 31 Afghan nationals to Kabul on Tuesday, including one man with no criminal conviction, marking the first known removal of a non-criminal Afghan since the Taliban returned to power in 2021 and signaling a further tightening of Berlin's migration policy.
The charter flight departed from Leipzig Airport, according to German media. Of the 31 deportees, 30 had criminal convictions, while one man's asylum application had been rejected despite having no criminal record.
